The COVID-19 Urgent Response Workforce has seen over 2,000 staff placed throughout Victoria to meet the needs of healthcare and community facilities impacted by the pandemic.

Expression of interest to join the COVID Immunisation Workforce

YNA Torrens Health are looking on behalf of DHHS for COVID Vaccinators for both Metro and Regional Victoria.
Staff who can vaccinate include Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Nurse Immunisers, EEN’s, Pharmacist Immunisers, Paramedics and Doctors.

  • Long term placements are available.
  • Staff interested in deployment to regional areas will be offered accommodation packages.
  • Must have current Police Check and WWCC.

To ensure COVID-19 vaccines continue to be delivered to the highest standards of safety, you will need to ensure you have met the free training requirements:

  • COVID-19 vaccination training program – all vaccination staff
  • Victorian COVID-19 AstraZeneca Supplementary eLearning – all vaccination staff
  • Victorian COVID-19 eLearning Competency – all vaccination staff except medical practitioners, nurse immunisers and pharmacist immunisers

You will also receive on-site training and may be supervised by an experienced immuniser.

All staff who work in state vaccination centres are eligible to have the COVID-19 vaccine. You are required to have received at least one dose of the vaccine prior to being deployed. To book in your vaccine, call 1800 675 398.
